2 Positions: Instructional Services Librarian for User Education Technologies and Instructional Services Librarian for Digital Media Technologies
The University of Tennessee (UT) Libraries seeks energetic, innovative, and service-oriented individuals to join the Integrated User Services team as the Instructional Services Librarians for User Education Technologies or for Digital Media Technologies. These are tenure track positions, with the requisite requirements of research and service. Appointment at rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
Required qualifications: ALA-accredited master's degree. Strong commitment to public service, information literacy, and support of the academic needs of students and faculty. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the philosophy behind the continuing evolution of a learning commons. Proficiency with a range of web authoring tools, such as Dreamweaver, Flash, iMovie, Photoshop, and some experience with web scripting using PhP and Java script. Experience building dynamic web pages and integrating multimedia content into web pages. Understanding of the application of Web 2.0 technologies and experience using social networking software. Ability to plan and implement innovative instruction and user services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment accompanied by initiative, self-direction, and commitment to innovation, creativity, and excellence. Commitment to research and creative achievement in a tenure track faculty position.
